It seems like people get too scared when weird shit happens to their cameras. It doesn't mean that you've got a broken or misaligned pin. Suicide or slow capitulation, you choose. Your camera probably heard about that and broke itself! Apparently, the pins are not very strong and if you stick it in wrong, you'd better hope its still under warranty.ĭefinitive.images edited this topic ages ago. If you have the error, it will generally mean a misaligned pin, if you re insert a card to test it that misaligned pin will quickly a broken one. Just sent mine back in one day after recieving back from intial service on sensor and grip on account of CHA error. I guess now have a reason to use my d70, but friday I have a concert, and I was SO looking forward to using the d200. I put the card in the wrong way for a minute. The bad news is that I now know what it is. Incidentally, this has happened on my D70 also, so it's not a D200 problem. The formatting wasn't complete maybe? I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's probably just a glitch or something. I don't remember this ever happening with my SanDisk Ultra II cards. I think it only happens on my Lexar cards. When I stick the card back in and format it, it will flash CHA. Anyone have a solution or an idea what could be going on?ĭid you try turning it on and off?reset it.

The manual says that it's an improperly formatted card, but ALL of my cards are giving the same error. I just stuck my memory card back in my camera and now I've got a flashing CHA on the LCD on top.
